Christie studied at the University of Southern California's renowned Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, one of the top-ranked schools for communication and media studies in the nation. Her degrees include a master's degree in communication management and marketing, and bachelor's degrees in journalism and sociology.

An adventurist and outdoor enthusiast at heart, Christie lives in the Greater Los Angeles Area where the menagerie of desert, beach, and mountainous landscapes serve as inspiration for her work.
